By accessing or using the Roots Retailer platform ("Retailer Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Retailer Services.
These Terms govern your use of the retailer dashboard, mobile application, and related tools we provide to licensed dispensaries and their staff. Please read them carefully before using the platform.
To use the Roots Retailer platform, your business must:
- Hold a valid cannabis retail or dispensary license in your jurisdiction - Maintain all licenses, permits, and registrations required to operate - Provide accurate license information and keep it current
- Only authorized owners, managers, and staff may access your account - Each user must be legally permitted to handle cannabis products - You are responsible for all activity performed under your store's account
- Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations - Operate only where cannabis retail is legally permitted
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering your store. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activities under your account - Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access - Do not share login credentials between unauthorized users
We may suspend or terminate your account for: - Violation of these Terms - Loss or expiration of required licensing - Fraudulent or unlawful activity - Providing false information
You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your product listings, including descriptions, pricing, potency, lab results, and availability.
- All listed products must be legal for sale in your jurisdiction - Listings must comply with applicable labeling and advertising rules - You must promptly remove or correct non-compliant listings
- Keep inventory levels accurate to avoid overselling - Honor prices and promotions displayed to customers at order time - We may remove listings that violate these Terms or applicable law
You are responsible for reviewing, accepting, and preparing orders in a timely manner and for verifying customer age and identification where required.
- Fulfill orders in accordance with your selected delivery and pickup settings - Ensure products are handled and packaged in compliance with regulations - Cooperate with third-party delivery providers used through the platform
- Follow the platform's cancellation and refund rules - Communicate substitutions or issues to the customer promptly
Use of the Retailer Services may be subject to commissions, service fees, or subscription charges as agreed in your partner agreement or as displayed in your dashboard.
- Payouts are calculated on completed orders, net of applicable fees - Payout timing and methods are described in your dashboard - You are responsible for taxes arising from your sales
We may update fees with reasonable notice. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated fees.

The Roots platform, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by Roots and protected by intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Retailer Services to operate your dispensary on the platform.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer our technology, or use our trademarks without written permission.
The Retailer Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
Roots is a technology platform connecting licensed dispensaries with customers. Responsibility for products, licensing, and regulatory compliance rests with you as the retailer.
We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Roots' total liability arising from these Terms shall not exceed the fees paid by you to Roots in the three months preceding the claim.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, loss of profits or data, or third-party actions.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. In such cases, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Roots, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:
